While there were families with the surname Hanan living in Essex around this time, where they came from and if they descended from the Huguenots is unclear. There were Huguenots living in Essex including silk weavers around the Braintree area.

Essex 1684-1726
About 50,000 Huguenots came to the United Kingdom and 10,000 more went to Ireland.
By 1760 the Huguenots were said to no longer stand out as foreign but had assimilated into English society and were known to be involved in banking, commerce, the book trade, the arts, army, and in teaching.
Many converted to Anglicanism. There was settlement of Huguenots in the small village of Thorpe-le-Spoken, in which the 'French church' remains today.
The image is of burial records of French protestants which increased during the period 1680 to 1730, around the time the Huguenots left France.
